A year of major ups and major downs. This is the journey of life. Wouldnā€™t it be nice if we only experienced the good?! But with that, there are no lessons. There is no growth. And the journey of life will include it all. As Iā€™ve gotten wiser, I know for certain that the more we learn to ride all the waves, the smoother the sailing. What we go through, we grow through. That is always what I strive to do. My deepest loss was that of my Finny boy this year. I will never get over that pain. I live with it every day. But I still talk to him, I still think of our memories daily. And what Iā€™ve discovered is, although heā€™s not physically with me anymore (I do miss snuggling him), he is with me everywhere I go! His spirit is more alive in me now. He travelled with me to Hawaii where he visited one night! That is magical. He can now be with me anywhere. That is beautiful. I wish for all of you to look for the silver linings. In everything that challenges you. Itā€™s not always easy, but they are there. I believe the world would be less angry if we each took the time to understand this. It is my Universal wish. And now, back to me, ME, MEEEE!! šŸ™†šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø My birthday wish is that you leave me a comment reminding me how we met, connected, or a special memory we share together. Every inch of it is a picture opp šŸ©µ For our anniversary dinner we went to Vita at the @rockhouseresort A stunning resort oasis situated on a cliff overlooking this gorgeousness. It felt like we were in the Mediterranean - a completely different vibe. My Mediterranean blood felt so comfortable here. Like coming home. 20 YEARS?!!! How is that possible? The time has f 20 YEARS?!!! How is that possible? The time has flown and itā€™s crazy that 20 years ago today, we said ā€œI doā€. In many ways it feels like yesterday. and yet when I look at these photos and see all the places weā€™ve been, all the experiences weā€™ve shared, it has to be only what decades can hold of these memories. when I recall all the momentous occasions, both celebratory and challenging, itā€™s clear that it has been this long. I am grateful to have a partner who has grown with me, and continues to want to grow. Individually and together. So many on this trip have asked us what the secret is to being in it this long. I donā€™t have any one answer. But the devotion to all of it is the one constant that springs to mind. Devotion to growth, to each other, to our commitment. To getting through all the ups and downs no matter what. Life will always hand you challenges. Weā€™ve been through many: loss of loved ones, surgeries, health scares, career / job ups and downs.
